• Allow the user to specify the directory server type (e.g., iPlanet, OpenLDAP, etc.) in order to avoid expensive heuristic analyses when it comes to index determination and possibly other checks.
• Check for adherence to formatting of certain values for certain attributes (e.g., telephonenumber).
